The quest to get Dark Souls on PC keeps going strong. The petition (which I urge you to sign if you haven’t yet) has reached an unprecedented 63,372 signatures at the time of posting, and the forum thread currently stands at the most active on the Namco-Bandai forums. Now, we seem to have caught the attention of a Namco-Bandai employee saying “The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this.” Hit the jump for more information.

I am a one man juggernaut of hot steaming man-love for Dark Souls here at The Reticule, but here’s some news that could potentially get more of my colleagues playing the game

Square Enix have revealed that a Final Fantasy XIII-2 cross platform demo will be released this week. Hopefully we will be able to see use of the many changes and new gameplay elements that have been worked on for this game.

I am a big fan of wrestling, so it was with great expectation that I purchased WWE 12 just after Christmas looking forward to a game which would let me feel the thrill of all the big hitting in-ring action in my own home once again. For the most part it is a very enjoyable title with some of the best customisation options around, everything from characters to arenas and story lines can be created in the game. It is just a shame that it is rough around the edges. Hit the jump for some grating examples.

Having not played a Settlers game for a good 10 or so years I was surprised and excited to see that there was an online version in development by Ubisoft and had to get into the beta to see what it was all about. See my thoughts and reactions after the jump.

‘Space is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemists, but that’s just peanuts to space.’ After five years, Infamous Adventures probably have a fairly good grasp of what Douglas Adams was hinting at. He wasn’t talking about the infinity of the universe, but the effort involved in remaking a classic adventure game.

For a publisher that specialises in a genre supposedly completely dead, Wadjet Eye Games didn’t half have a decent 2011. A few weeks ago for the Reticule I took a look at Gemini Rue, a spectacularly gritty Blade-Runner’esque sci-fi story, let down only by its clunky combat sequences. My hankering for pointing and clicking still not completely satisfied, and in anticipation of the upcoming Steam release of the Blackwell quadrilogy, I thought it time to revisit the genre once again with the latest in Dave Gilbert’s supernatural series.

In this final part of the interview, I talk to Andy about Project CARS, the racer at the heart of World of Mass Development.
