As expected – Football Manager 2017 coming this November

How meta, right now I am playing Football Manager 2015, while writing about the announcement that Football Manager 2017 has been confirmed by Sega and Sports Interactive for release on November 4th. There’s going to be a few different packages on offer with Football Manager Touch 2017 also slated for release on November 4th, and a special Steam pre-order offer on the cards. Hit the break for more.

We are waiting for the first details on new features to emerge, they will probably come out through the official Facebook and Twitter accounts, although I am sure that SI boss, Miles Jacobson, will reveal his share of news on his Twitter. The key points for the different versions of the game are as follows:

  • All copies of  Football Manager 2017 will include Touch for free
  • Touch 2017 will be available for purchase separately to the full fat version of the game
  • If you pre-purchase the full fat version (from select online retailers), you will get access to the Beta, at least two weeks before launch
  • If you own an earlier season of Football Manager on Steam (back to 2013), you will be able to receive a 5% discount per game (up to 20%) in your collection off your purchase of 2017. Details, here!

I wasn’t a big fan of last year’s edition and instead can regular be found playing Football Manager 2015 instead. Are SI taking on too much with three versions of the game – full fat, Touch and Mobile? I’m not sure, but I will be sure to check out the full fat game when it launches this November.
