I just stumbled across an indie game called Bleed by one-man development team, Bootdisk Revolution on Reddit and it looks quite retro, and quite good. It harks back to many old school action-shooters from the 80s/90s, not that I can bring any names to mind right now (it has been a long day), but it definitely looks my cup of tea. Trailer is after the jump, and that girl in the image at the top of this post is lead character, Wryn. Bleed is due later this year on the PC and Xbox 360.
