Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four slated to leave Early Access
I always used to think I wasn’t a fan of collectible card games, for so long I dismissed them, but games like Fights in Tight Spaces have started to change my mind. With my horizons being broadened, when I saw a press release revealing that Cardaclysm was going to be leaving Early Access on the 26th February, my interest was piqued. The mention of fighting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse might have had something to do with that.
Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four to give it the full title which nicely references the Four Horsemen, is a procedurally generated collectible card game which comes combined with action RPG elements.
Having unleased the Horsemen and their minions upon the world, it is your job to send them back to whence they came, all through the power of cards. The trailer that accomanied the launch into Early Access is full of glimpses of the various biomes and artifacts that you can equip.
Perhaps the best thing, besides the impending Apocalypse of course, is the Interdimensional Pub which you visit between quests to manage your deck, trade cards and take on new quests. It all harks back to the good old days pre-Covid when you could pop down your local, grab a pack of cards and have a game of solitaire in the beer garden…these days, an Intermdimensional Pub sound a suitable replacement.
You can find out more about Cardaclysm on its Steam page.
