Our Week in Games – Week 97

The most interesting aspect of the past week was a little video from nVidia where they achieve two things. They manage to show off their new Maxwell and VXGI technology and they also debunked some of the conspiracy theories surrounding the moon landings. The video (after the break) is slightly heavy on the tech-talk, but is also filled with some lovely footage of nVidia’s version of the moon landing along with some wonderful footage and photos of the real event. Great stuff.

Zelda Hyrule Warriors

I haven’t actually played anything myself on the PC this past week, though I will admit that the temptation to play Football Manager 2014 is strong, though I am determined to wait until the next edition comes out later this year. I did however spend the majority of last Sunday watching my girlfriend play The Sims 4 which looks like an outstanding game, but I’m not sure how much it improves on the last in the series. I’ll have to spend some hands on time with it myself to judge that.

The majority of my week has been spent in the loving embrace of Destiny, of which I will have more words early this week. Elsewhere I have turned my Wii U back on for the first time since I was playing Mario Kart 8 so that I could give Zelda Hyrule Warriors a blast. I only picked it up on Saturday so I haven’t played that much, but I did spend about an hour blasting away at the thousands of minions on the Game Pad in bed. Good times.
