Dishonored – The Verdict

I had been looking forward to Dishonored for quite some time, my interest first piqued when the initial batch of concept art was released last year and further heightened with the commencing deluge of gameplay trailers and my hands on experience of the game at the Eurogamer Expo. When I came to play the full game, I feared I would be let down, I wasn’t. This review is as spoiler free as I could make it, apologies for anything I…

Dishonored Gets Launch Trailer – Not Out Til Friday?

It is a sad fact that in the games industry we have this funny little trend of games being released on different dates in different parts of the world despite the prevalence of digitial distributors like Steam and Origin. As such, it strikes me as odd to present a launch trailer for one of the hottest games of the year, Dishonored but yet have to remind our British readers that the game doesn’t actually release until Friday. It is an immensely frustrating state of affairs that is also affecting XCOM, and I have no doubt that this arcane release schedule is contributing to these two games sitting at the of most shared games on one of the large file sharing sites. I hope that someone, somewhere realises how stupid this way of releasing games is sooner than later. If you want to see the release trailer for Dishonored it is after the break.

Dishonored Gets Animated – The Tales from Dunwall

The Tales from Dunwall is a three part series of animated shorts which act as prequels to Dishonored by providing a background to the world of Dunwall, the city the dominates the game. The first part, called The Awakening can be viewed after the break. It is a lovely pieces of work with some hand-drawn scenes with a score by Daniel Licht from Dexter and narration by Kick Ass star Chloƫ Grace Mortez.

Dishonored – Final Developer Diary

The final developer diary for Dishonored has been released and is available for your viewing pleasure after the break. Called ‘End Game’ this dev diary sees Arkane Studios reflect on the journey they have taken with the game. It isn’t as long as some of the others, but it is still worth a watch.

Dishonored – Two More Developer Diaries

The developer diaries for Dishonored are really intriguing, they are revealling a lot about how the team at Arkane perceive the game and how they think people might play it. In addition, there is a hell of a lot of new game footage which is well worth checking out. The first video is called Immersion and the second one Experience, see them after the jump.

Dishonored Developer Diary – Inception

How many times will we talk about Dishonored in some way before release? I would hazard a guess that it will be quite a few more times, especially when we get such amazing insights into the game as seen in the first developer diary entitled Inception. You can watch the video after the jump, it features a number of developers from Arkane talking about difference aspects of the title, and it shows a heap of new in-game footage. Worth a look.

Dishonored Continues to Impress

I have long felt that Dishonored is going to be one of the biggest hits of the year, ever since I saw the first pieces of concept art last year I had the feeling it might be something special. Everything I have seen since then has kept me eager to see more and more of the game. I can’t wait to get a chance to play it.
