Play Expo 2014 – Coming to Manchester this October
You’ve got to love the gaming exhibition season. There’s the sense of excitement, the feeling that everything has been building up to this one, last moment, a chance to show your title in the best light. It’s also the time of year when you start getting told about the titles you’ll be playing at the end of this year, beginning of the next. Chris has already attended the Welsh Game Dev Show earlier this year while Kevin will be attending the Scottish equivalent soon. Right now though I want to share some words on the Play Expo…
The Play Expo is coming to Manchester this October and is an event that has tickled my fancy to such an extent that I might actually go…
While I look forward to the show, take a gander at this promotional video:
An initial slew of fourteen indie developers have already been confirmed and I’d be amazed if many more didn’t join the list. Lamplight studiois (with ‘A Pixel Story), Boneloaf (with Gange Beasts) and Tall Studios (shoot ‘Em Up Kit) are to name but three that I’l’l be keeping a close eye on, but the full list is shown below:
Boneloaf – Gang Beasts
Fully Illustrated – Wulverblade
Lamplight Studios – A Pixel Story
Mechabit – Kaiju Panic
Payload Studios – TerraTech
Hidden Armada – Mutiny!
Utopian World of Sandwiches – Chompy Chomp Chomp Party
Leda Entertainment – Bopscotch

Application Systems – Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet
Cinemaware – Wings: Remastered Edition
Dojo Arcade – Creature Battle Lab
