Space Battles Are Getting Gratuitous Again
Everyone loves space battles right? They are the things dreams are made of, but unless you want to explore null-sec in Eve Online or pay £50 to access the Elite: Dangerous beta, there aren’t too many options open to you. One long-standing option is Gratuitous Space Battles from Positech Games which is pleasingly getting a sequel. Cliff Harris, the man behind Positech, announced the sequel earlier today.

Details are limited right now, but you can check out the official site if you so wish. The new game will add three new ship types (including the largest yet in the series), a newly enhanced graphics engine along with support for PC, Mac and Linux. Gratuitous Space Battles 2 will be out late 2014 or early 2015 and will, in battle mode, support twin 2560 res monitors. It all sounds very exciting…I might just have to play the first one before I get to see the sequel in action at the Eurogamer Expo this September in London.
