How can a game which is still two weeks from release have a launch trailer? Simply by being advanced and getting things done in the here and now. Of course I am talking about Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare which is out in just a couple of weeks. Have I pre-ordered it yet? Well no because I’m looking after my finances after a few months filled with joyous spending. But I definitely want to check it out, especially the basketball-esque Uplink multiplayer mode.

I had a splendid time at EGX this year at Earl’s Court, and despite referring to it as the Eurogamer Expo all week, I was happy to be there and impressed with what I saw. I’m a big fan of Kevin Spacey, everything from The Usual Suspects to Seven has been great, though some younger readers will know him best from his star turn in House of Cards, the Netflix politico-hit. His coming appearance in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been something I have quietly been keeping an eye on for a while now. In truth, the promise of his role in Advanced Warfare is partly why I am still going with Ghosts to get myself back into the over the top Call of Duty mindset.
