As I finish absorbing the Residuum from a temporally-dislocated shovel, I’m told Julianna is on the hunt. What’s she on the hunt for?
Me. Why? Because I want to break the loop – the interminable hell of living the same day over, and over, and over again, on a demented island called Blackreef.
And likely for something more. Something that’s woven into every tick of every clock.
Deathloop is undeniably an Arkane game, but it very far removed from the Dishonored titles. It’s also a very good game, with two fantastic lead characters and is one that I personally would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in games.
We don’t often do straight up news posts here at The Reticule, especially not for AAA titles which everyone knows about already. But Deathloop seems to still be going somewhat under the radar in the broader gaming community, despite me absolutely falling in love with it when it featured in Sony’s PlayStation 5 unveiling last summer, and if I can do my bit to share the news of this brilliant looking game, then I will.
This afternoon, Bethesda dropped a rather stealthy looking screenshot on its official Twitter account. Fans of Dishonored will find the surroundings somewhat familiar, as in the background Dishonored‘s protagonist Corvo converses with Empress Kaldwin, moments before her rather unexpected and stabby demise.
