How time flies, it was just over a year ago when I judged Don’t Starve and since then there have been numerous updates including something about giants which sadly I haven’t checked out. Much shame on me. Today though, Klei have surprised the community and the whole world by announcing Don’t Starve Together, a multiplayer expansion for the game that is coming this summer.

Don’t Starve – Caves Update Out Now

When I talked to Kevin Forbes about Don’t Starve last week he didn’t want to ruin any surprises people might find within the Caves update. Never fear being spoiled in an interview though, you can now head underground and explore the new biome as all the cool kids call these things. It is early days with the update, Klei will be adding more to it over the next three or four smaller updates. It is pretty safe to say that I have quite enjoyed Don’t Starve, the survival game which I’ve really been getting my teeth into. Hell, I even a little video about. Just off the Gransys mainland is the cursed Bitterblack Isle and it is here that gamers will discover an underground realm, complete with new terrifying foes to face and incredible treasure to find as they embark on an all new quest. Owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will be able to export their existing characters and all other saved data, to continue their journey as the Arisen and face this new threat that has emerged from the cavernous depths. Star Trek is expected to be a single-player action game with cooperative gameplay elements allowing two people to control Kirk and Spock. The two characters are intended to show different gameplay techniques, with Kirk being the more typical shooter while Spock has stealth techniques and can use both the Vulcan nerve pinch and mind meld. Each are armed with weapons to reflect their gameplay style, with Kirk armed with a phaser equipped with a stun setting, while Spock’s weapon is quieter and freezes enemies instead.
