I haven’t had a chance to catch up on all the ins-and-outs of last nights E3 conferences, but the game of the event so far for me is going to go to Sim City. (Watch Dogs is a close runner-up) There is nothing quite like a Sim City game, and the first in-game footage is now available in all its glory after the jump. Watch it, and if you don’t smile, there is something wrong with you.
Over at E3 Paradox Interactive have revealed their planned integration of TwitchTV into their upcoming title The Showdown Effect. While so far at E3 we have seen Nintendo reveal more on the WiiU and Microsoft and Ubisoft turn their events into concerts, this announcement from Paradox is perhaps the most relevant to expanding gaming communities.

And our penultimate conference of E3 comes from Sony. How will the holders of the metaphorical PlayStation keys grab our attention this year, and more importantly will Kevin Butler make an appearance?
In all the hubris of E3 there seemed to be a running theme. Aside from the copious numbers of bow and arrow action, many of the stuff shown had been very safe, very comfortable. That is until the end of Ubisoft’s presentation…
Now it’s Ubisoft’s turn in the E3 spotlight. We expect Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed and Rayman to all make an appearance, and probably much more besides.
Next up, EA’s contribution to E3. We can certainly expect Dead Space 3, some Battlefield news, and some footage from Crysis 3 alongside the usual sports updates – but maybe there are a few surprises in store?

MCV are reporting that Quantic Dream, developers of Heavy Rain are going to be revealing their new games, Beyond at the Sony presser in the early hours of the morning British time. Beyond will be a very narrative driven game with mo-capped Hollywood actors involved. All Games Beta have some leaked screens, expect firm details from 2am tomorrow morning when David Cage is expected to reveal all.
