March is most certainly shaping up to be a big month with some major games getting released with Tomb Raider, Sim City and depending on THQ-shenanigans, Metro Last Light. While these are all big games, and titles I will certainly be eager to check out, the game that I am currently most looking forward to is Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14. Bet you weren’t expecting that were you?
Today I get to play as the most resilient, strong stomached and crazy assed character of all time. That’s right, Isaac Clarke is back in this years Dead Space 3 and I intend to give you the full lowdown of the demo I played earlier.
Maxis has always been one of my favourite developers. The Sims, Sim Ant, Sim Farm – All incredibly innovative games, (aside perhaps for their titles,) and each one of them holding a special place in my cruel, twisted heart. However, the announcement that the new Sim City would require an always-on internet connection resulted in me raising my arms and screaming ‘UBISOFT!’ Of course, I then remembered it was actually being published by EA, but my reaction still stands.
Yesterday, September the 4th, was a very exciting day for all PS3 owners of Battlefield 3‘s Premium service. Armored Kill is finally available to this select group of individuals and there are many reasons they should feel lucky.
Following the success of women’s football at the Olympics, a petition was started to ask EA to include women into the massively successful FIFA franchise. While the petition is starting to gather pace with over 3,000 signatures, EA don’t have any plans to introduce female players into the series at the moment.
If you were following Ben’s liveblogging of EA’s set at E3, you’ll know Dead Space 3 was announced. Now here are some specifics of what it will include along with some screenshots to examine for clues.
I haven’t had a chance to catch up on all the ins-and-outs of last nights E3 conferences, but the game of the event so far for me is going to go to Sim City. (Watch Dogs is a close runner-up) There is nothing quite like a Sim City game, and the first in-game footage is now available in all its glory after the jump. Watch it, and if you don’t smile, there is something wrong with you.
Next up, EA’s contribution to E3. We can certainly expect Dead Space 3, some Battlefield news, and some footage from Crysis 3 alongside the usual sports updates – but maybe there are a few surprises in store?
The long war between Origin and Steam has seen several casualties disappear from Valve’s service, and others not arrive there at all. One of the big titles to disappear was Crysis 2, but in a strange quirk it is now back on Steam and in Maximum Edition form which contains all four Limited Edition unlocks as well as the Retaliation and Decimation multiplayer map packs. Is this a sign that EA will relent and release titles like Mass Effect 3…
