As everyone knows by now, Microsoft have released Windows 10 to an expectant public, largely eager for a new system to wipe away the horrors of Windows 8. It also faces the daunting challenge of convincing Windows 7 users that upgrading is worth their time. I Love Trucks – Hardware: Shipbreakers Trailer Rocks

As I’ve been working through my backlog of emails this evening, I came across a message with the following title. “Homeworld Creators Release New Hardware Trailer: Look at the size of that TRUCK!” I totally ignored the majority of the title and thought “Oooooh, trucks, yay” and hastily headed over to the video linked within the message, a video you can see below the jump. It contains a truck, a monster of a truck, perhaps the biggest truck I’ve ever seen. It belongs to an upcoming RTS from some of the team behind the Homeworld games. Their new company, Blackbird Interactive is making something called HARDWARE: Shipbreakers and I am just a bit excited after watching the trailer.

PC hardware, it is one of the most infuriating things about being a PC gamer at times, but it is also one of the most rewarding. Earlier this year I built myself a nice new system, I got myself a Quad-Core (Q6600) with 2GB RAM on a nice shiny new Asus P5K motherboard. However I kept my old 250GB HD and my nVidia 7900GS. Oooh talking about all these things makes me want to tinker away!

So the Chancellor announced yesterday that VAT in the UK was being cut from 17.5% to 15% from the 1st December, of course this has caused uproar in Parliament and it will possibly lead to all of us tax payers shelling out loads more in a few years time to sort the mess out.

There is some good news that has come out of this change in how VAT works, Overclockers.co.uk have announced that as of right now all their products are being sold at the reduced VAT price.

If you are looking to splurge out on a new rig or just a handful of components, well that is a great place to go right now.

Now if only I had enough spare change to be able to fork out for a new graphics card…
