Our Week in Games – Week 62

Our Week in Games – Week 62

Another week gone and we get ever closer to the launch of the next-gen consoles, but following the delays to Watch Dogs and Drive Club, is anyone really that excited for the launch titles? If you think that Football Manager, Assassin’s Creed and Battlefield are coming out this week, isn’t everyone going to be happy?

If that doesn’t get you thinking on this Sunday lunchtime, why not hit the break to read about The Stanley Parable and Kerbal Space Program.

Our Week in Games – Week 61

Another week gone and news emerges from a key PC component manufacturer which looks set to shake the business up and firmly ensure the PC is home of the future of gaming. Three weeks ago saw AMD talk about their Mantle API which will entirely replace DirectX. This week sees Nvidia reveal G-Sync which is promised to entirely stop the screen-tear effect many games can be plagued with.

That is some of the big tech news, but what have we seen in Our Week in Games?

Our Week in Games – Week 60

Who releases a big game on a Saturday these days? Nintendo, that is who as yesterday they have released Pokemon X and Y along with the 2DS. Why they chose a Saturday I don’t know, but I know that I won’t be picking up a 2DS. If I am going to go down the Nintendo root, it is going to be with a Wii U when I have enough cash and GAME trade-in credit to get one at a reasonable price. I want to be able to write about some classic Nintendo titles on future editions of Our Week in Games. While I wait for that day, why not look after the break and see what we have been playing.

Our Week in Games – Week 59

Last Sunday was Day 4 of the Eurogamer Expo, but I only managed to get an hour at the show which explains why there wasn’t a lowdown on Sunday night. There really wasn’t much to provide a lowdown on. It is another Sunday though and that means one thing…Our Week in Games.

Our Week In Games – Week 58

It’s been an interesting week, all things considered – Steam has gone from happily sitting upstairs on your desktop PC to charging into the living room and demanding your full attention. Short on space, I’ve been running the whole ‘PC under the TV’ thing for almost a month, so Valve announcing their amazing new Steam Machines was a bit of an anti-climax for me. I am still however curious about their rather odd-looking controller, which seems to finally be looking towards making controller-based gaming a little more palatable for PC users.
But what have we been playing this past seven days? Let’s take a look.

Our Week in Games – Week 58

We are less than a week away from the Eurogamer Expo at Earl’s Court in London, and I will be making the trip down there with the aim of getting some time with the PS4 and Xbox One…though I will probably give up on the queues and just play some indie games. It should be fun at least! Let’s take a look at what has gone down in the past week in Our Week in Games.

Our Week in Games – Week 57

The evenings are starting to draw in close, the weather is on the turn, the Eurogamer Expo is coming at the end of the month and oh yes, Grand Theft Auto V is coming out this week. If there is one title which might serve to keep the limelight off the new console launches in a couple of months, it will be GTA which I am sure will still be all over the place. Be that for the right or wrong reasons, that isn’t for me to say. I do know though that Our Week in Games next Sunday will see me talking about the game. Back to today, hit the jump and see what we have been playing.

Our Week in Games – Week 54

Our Week in Games – Week 54

It is time for more of Our Week in Games as the football transfer window approaches last orders, the kids get ready to go back to school and the end of year big hitting games get ever closer to launch. That’s right, we are now in September, a month where we will see Rome II and Grand Theft Auto V launch. You can see the latest GTA trailer after the break before we get down to business.
