Welcome to another edition of Our Week in Games here at The Reticule. I was going to spend some time talking about Nintendo’s very strange week here in the introduction, but there are quite a few points to go through, so you can check out my low-down on their week after the break along with words from the rest of the team.
It’s been a few weeks since the last Indie Gaming Roundupp which I seem to do whenever I realise I should be doing something while clicking my way through the seasons in Football Manager. This week I bring word on Warside, Cloud Chamber and Kentucky Route Zero, so hit the break and check out the latest.

He casually raises his shield and then bows. I bow in return. There is a brief almost serene pause (punctuated slightly by a wounded-man running between us) and then we charge.
Who’d have thought it with all the looting and pillaging; Vikings are sticklers for etiquette, at least this is the case in War of the Vikings.
How time flies, it was just over a year ago when I judged Don’t Starve and since then there have been numerous updates including something about giants which sadly I haven’t checked out. Much shame on me. Today though, Klei have surprised the community and the whole world by announcing Don’t Starve Together, a multiplayer expansion for the game that is coming this summer.
I hate it when I eagerly anticipate a game, get a review copy and find out that I am entirely unable to productively play the game as I fail to grasp the concepts behind it. Sad to say, this has happened with Wargame: Red Dragon an RTS which I had so looked forward to upon checking out the trailers. I won’t deliver anything like a traditional review here, rather I will cover four aspects of the game that I have found thought provoking. Read on…
I might have talked about Divinity: Original Sin very briefly earlier this month but some big news has emerged along with a new trailer that I can’t resist sharing with you all. Well, I know that if I don’t share it I’m just going to want to play the game now, even though I have promised myself to stay strong and wait until it is released before playing again.
I dropped the name of Project CARS the other day when I was talking about the announcement of GRID Autosport and followed it up by having a quick blast with a BMW around Rouen-Les-Essarts where I promptly binned it in the barriers. Then, a few days later, Slightly Mad Studios released their first official trailer for the game which I have handily embedded after the break.
Creating satire always involves walking the fine line between being funny and just being annoying, whilst not being pointlessly offensive. Supreme League of Patriots, an upcoming episodic point and click adventure from indie studio No Bull Intentions, might be able to manage that responsibility and walk the line. Might.
Diablo III was a game which I fell in love with in the beginning, I blasted through in decent fashion until I reached the gates of the High Heaven’s in Chapter IV and then I just kind of stopped playing. It was the promise of the Reaper of Souls expansion, the major patch which introduced loot 2.0 and the need to play something other than Football Manager that got me playing the game again. And so, after defeating the all-evil Diablo and starting out again in Act I with my Demon Hunter, I waited for Reaper of Souls to land. Once it arrived, I got on with the job of completing Act V and exploring the new location of Westmarch.
There are many exciting racers in varying stages of development at the moment, be they Project CARS or Assetto Corsa. These crowd-funded racers that are still being developed are going to face some serious competition soon when Codemasters throw their hat in the ring once again as GRID is set to return this June.
