I first talked about Wargame: Red Dragon at the tail end of February where I bemoaned the fact that the Red Dragon of the title has nothing to do with the Welsh dragon. It still gripes me, but I am somewhat appeased by news that you can pre-order the game now on Steam which will grant you exclusive access to the multiplayer beta which will kick off in the coming days. Daedalic Entertainment’s latest PC adventure outing, The Night of the Rabbit is now available for pre-order from GOG.com. Due for release on May 29th, The Night of the Rabbit is a point and click that follows Jerry and his dreams of being a magician, luckily for some dreams can sometimes come true. Featuring Daedalic’s unique hand drawn graphics and engaging characters and dialogue, this is bound to be another great release.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge is an innovative new pre-order bonus for Hitman: Absolution, it is its very own standalone singleplayer mini-game, and it is now available to play for anyone who has pre-ordered the game. There is a trailer after the break, but in brief, Sniper Challenge puts you in the shoes of Agent 47 with the task of eliminating a high roller and his bodyguards in a fifteen minute time frame. Leaderboards and bonus content in the final game are also promised. It is quite an innovative idea to let people play such a mini-game as a pre-order incentive, especially one this far away from the November launch of Absolution. Shenanigans are occurring in the pre-order market today, first up is an Origin only pre-order deal for Mass Effect 3 which is exclusive to the EU where you can get all the pre-order items in one hit for both Digital Deluxe Edition and the Standard Edition. Check out the pre-order page and rejoice in an outlet which will give you all the pre-order bonuses at once, no worrying about what special item you will miss out on. There have been lots of complaints about Origin, but this is a good move.

The second bit of pre-order action is for Sniper Elite V2. In this World War Two sniper love-in, we all know that the ultimate mission would be to kill Hitler, the only trouble? If you want to get the chance to kill Hitler in the game, you are going to have to pre-order it. The press release makes no mention of the mission being made available later to those who don’t pre-order. A decidedly bad move I think.
