First Screenshots of Pathologic Reinvention

First Screenshots of Pathologic Reinvention

By the time Quinn’s wrote the first part of his ‘Butchering Pathologic’, I was already getting my teeth into the games writing business on my long lost personal site, evo-gamer.com. Quinn’s piece was up there as one of the articles that encouraged me to push things forward, and ultimately get together with the original gang of Reticule writers back in the autumn of 2008.

So, when I saw Ice-Pick Lodge, developers of Pathologic, drop a press release into my inbox about the first in-game screenshots of their Kickstarter funded reinvention (their words) of their debut game, I had to write about it.

Motorsport Manager Announcement Makes Me Happy

Motorsport Manager Announcement Makes Me Happy

When you consider all of the love (and sometimes, the grumbles) that I give to the Football Manager series, you might think that I started my management game life with something like Championship Manager 3. You’d be wrong, as my first sporting love was Formula 1, not football, and in turn, my first experience of in-game management was with Microprose’s brilliant, Grand Prix Manager 2. Back in the days of the first PlayStation, I stumbled across an unknown (to me) game called Final Fantasy VIII and I went on to spend many many hours playing this deep RPG on my little grey box. A few years later Final Fantasy IX appeared, and again I spent many an hour working my way through the four discs loaded with wonderful content. Sadly, I didn’t touch any other Final Fantasy games until I took a very brief diversion with Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360, but for whatever reason, I didn’t play more than a couple of hours.

Now though, I am starting to look at the series with fresh eyes thanks to a whole host of news and new trailers that emerged from the Tokyo Game Show this past week.

The Simulation Game Catch Up – Trains, Farms and Trucks

The Simulation Game Catch Up – Trains, Farms and Trucks

I was going to name this round-up ‘The Sim Game Catch Up’, but I thought that might scare people into thinking I was bringing news of some unknown expansions to The Sims 4. Fear not, as although EA will probably announce some expansions for The Sims soon, this news round-up is focused on a different kind of simulation game. The Sims is great fun, that is for sure, but it doesn’t match the joys of driving a train, farming some fields or driving a truck around Europe. Read on fine soul for The Simulation Game Catch Up.
