Somehow, in my preview of 2014 I managed to leave Watch Dogs of the list, though that does show the strength of some of the exciting games coming out this year. Despite it not quite making the list, I am still looking forward to the open-world hackathon from Ubisoft, even more now that is has a release date. The 27th May is that day, and Ubisoft released a new trailer to celebrate the announcement. Check it out below.

Back in December Fictiorama Studios presented Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today at Adventure X London allowing attendees some hands on time with the game. Since then they have been hard at work and have just released the first gameplay footage.
I’ve decided that I need to get some Mario back in my life having watched six minutes of action from Super Mario 3D World. Yes, I am talking about something which isn’t coming to the PC or a machine from Sony or Microsoft. The trailer released by Nintendo earlier this week has been on my list of things to watch and I am happy I’ve taken the time to watch it.
My first look at Batman Arkham Origins came at Eurogamer back in September and while I only had a brief go with it, it reminded me of just how much fun there was to be had with Bruce Wayne. It was that little experience which got me to start playing Arkham City once more…well until the plague that was Games for Windows Live got removed. I’ll have to start that one again.

There is a theme that I am starting to notice from Ubisoft with some of their biggest franchises, open world and tattoos. Far Cry 3 was all about the tattoos and judging by the latest trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Captain Kenway has been given the same love of body art. There isn’t much new in this trailer, but it is being called the ‘TV Spot’, I’d rather call it the Tattoo Trailer. Find it after the break.
A new trailer for the most piratey of games, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag has launched profiling various members of Captain Kenway’s crew of robbers. Well, the trailer is called ‘The Pirate Heist Trailer’ so I think that is an apt description. Blackbeard, Calcio Jack and Anne Bonny all make an appearance with some swashbuckling catchphrases. After my adventures with the game at Eurogamer I am certainly starting to look forward to this one now.
Despite all the spam, copy-paste PR announcements and completely irrelevant information we receive in the Reticule’s inbox, every now and then something truly exciting will turn up. Tonight, just when I was considering turning in for the evening, a little gem landed on our doorstep in the form of The Inner World, an absolutely beautiful point and click adventure from Studio Fizbin
It takes something special to draw me away from Breaking Bad and this evening it is a 14 minute Watch Dogs open-world gameplay video. I’ll be honest that after my initial excitement for the game, I’ve totally lost track of it since E3, but this trailer has me interested once more. Hit the jump and take a look, it looks quite nice.
