Diablo 3 – Starting the New Season

Diablo 3 – Starting the New Season

When Diablo 3 first launched, I really enjoyed it and moved past a lot of criticism that came from some of the die hard Diablo fans. When Reaper of Souls came out, I again had a great time and started to dabble in the adventure mode. But it is only now, with the launch of Season 4, that I am checking out this way of playing the game that seemingly everyone else has already worked through during the previous three seasons.

EU IV Gets a Massive Update

EU IV Gets a Massive Update

I’ve been getting ever further involved in Europa Universalis IV over recent weeks thanks to some fantastic multiplayer matches with friend of The Reticule, Craig Lager. This really is a brilliantly deep game, and one that I am determined to deliver a Verdict on soon. For now though, I will have to play some more as Paradox Interactive have just released a hefty patch for this most grand of grand strategy games.

Don’t Starve – Caves Update Out Now

Don’t Starve – Caves Update Out Now

When I talked to Kevin Forbes about Don’t Starve last week he didn’t want to ruin any surprises people might find within the Caves update. Never fear being spoiled in an interview though, you can now head underground and explore the new biome as all the cool kids call these things. It is early days with the update, Klei will be adding more to it over the next three or four smaller updates. You can read the update notes here and check out a trailer for the Caves after the break.

The Witcher 2 Gets Enhanced On PC

The Witcher 2 Gets Enhanced On PC

The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition might have been released as a full new release on the Xbox 360 today (read Kevin’s Red Mist rated review here) but us PC gamers aren’t being left out as a massive 11GB update for the epic RPG is now available through Steam and GoG.com.

The full patch list can be read after the jump, but be aware that it does contain spoilers. In short, you can expect to find four hours worth of new quests, cut-scenes and cinematics and over 100 other improvements over the original release.

This is all free, which in a time when such big updates normally get labelled as DLC and require a few pounds to access is a brilliant example of how customers should be treated by developers and publishers. I’m still downloading my update, but I can’t wait to get back into the game from the start once more.

Team Fortress 2 Scout Update Announced

tf2_scout

And guess what?  It’s next week!

Yes, Valve has let it be known that work on the Scout Update has almost reached completion, and they’re going to kindly drip feed us info over the next week to tell us exactly what everyone’s favourite Ritalin addict will be getting come the 24th.

You can find the info page here, and you’ll want to check back on the days stated.  The first reveal, The Sandman bat, looks pretty awesome if I’m honest, so I can’t wait to see what else they’ve got cooking.

Reckon he’ll get that sandvich now, fatty.
