World of Goo Coming to Android Tablets and Phones

World of Goo Coming to Android Tablets and Phones

I own several different copies of World of Goo, I was fortunate enough to get a review copy from 2D Boy, I bought it directly on release, I bought a copy on Steam, I have a copy on my Steam press account and I also bought it on iOS for my iPod Touch. Soon, I will be buying it again on Android as 2D Boy have confirmed the Android release is coming soon. It will be available for both Android tablets and phones, and I can’t wait to play one of the most charming games ever once again. Goo!

Ron Carmel on World of Goo

World of Goo sits fondly in my mind as one of the best indie games, nay, one of the best games I have ever played. Developers Ron Carmel and Kyle Gabler deserve applause for putting so much character in those little balls of Goo. World of Goo Soundtrack! Squee!

World of Goo Soundtrack! Squee!

Squeeeeeeeee!

And the Nominees Are….. (IGF)

And the Nominees Are….. (IGF)

Expect to see this again... sometime.

The nominees for the 2009 IGF awards have been announced here. I’m going to be going through the available ones in the next few days, so expect some impressions and linkage soon. As it stands, there are a few recognisable entries in there, such as Zeno Clash (of which we have an interview with here), The Graveyard, and, of course, You Have to Burn the Rope. There are a few non-PC titles this year aswel, but we don’t concern ourselves with them. Go and have a gander, and see if you can spot the next World of Goo or Crayon Physics Deluxe. There has to be one there somewhere.
