The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – New Screens
Come one, come hither, BandaiNamco games have released a new bevvy of screens for their upcoming title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, to stalk the internet. And probably you.
Jump to the cut to feast your eyes on them before they dart for cover….
So for those who don’t know, and straight from the press blurb:
“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a fantasy universe full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher 3, you play as Geralt of Rivia, one of a dying caste of monster hunters, and embark on an epic journey in a war-ravaged world that will inevitably lead you to confront a foe darker than anything humanity has faced so far—the Wild Hunt.”
Being a huge fan of the second game, it all sounds like more of what I want, and it looks… well, judge for yourself :

I’ve been following this title quite closely and I have to say it looks mightily impressive. It should be easy (!) to put the same sort of narrative drive into an open-world Witcher that existed in the first two games, while adding a bevvy of open-world type mechanics.
This is also actually a game where it’d make sense to go to X and kill ten Y.
The hunting mechanics seem interesting too. If they can just improve the utility of the potion making and finally nail the combat, then we could have something very interesting on our hands.
More, when we get it.
